I remember extremely well my first experience of Thomas (Tom) Hall.
SETTING:
An island somewhere in New Zealand, June 2005.
A few drinks had been consumed by all, when a very debonair gentleman walked slowly to the microphone.
He stretched out his arms and checked the distance he was standing behind the microphone.
He then took one gentle, cotrolled step backwards ...
placed his arms on his chest, glaced around the room ...
and began to speak.
Quietly ...
Smoothly ...
Peacefully ...
Controlled ...
I didnt really 'know' Tom Hall - but ..i love his grandkids, oh! And his son Tony!
And the way he spoke a year ago now; has left a huge impression on me.
Thanks Tom & thanks for Tony too!

Hi Bernard and Cathy and family
Our thoughts are with you guys at present.
Its great that you are thankfull for a life well lived
Bernard, a pity you missed the Stones, but you've experienced something much more profound, and besides they're really just a bunch of geriatrics anyway, playing the same old tunes.
Even though we only met Tom once, it is apparent to us how important he has been to you guys, and how loved he is.
We will be with you on Friday as you say farewell to Tom.
Cheers
Alan and Helen and Max
